Clutch Cover Specifications

Covers made to fit all size and styles of clutches.

Covers are not hardened for machinability purposes. On the sprocket arm clutch and ratchet arm clutches, thin covers are usually used and they are actually bolted together through the Cam via the “Cam thru holes” machined at 180º to each other. This is accomplished by using Flat Socket Cap Screws. Note: The housings are actually shorter than the Cams on the above clutches.

On our other actuated clutches (Cam & Ring assemblies and Overrunning types) thick covers are used and mounted through the four conterbored holes we machined in the thick covers at 90º to each other. Note: The housings are actually longer than the Cams in these clutches.
